“Approved equestrian livery yard in Ivybridge, Devon, opened in June 2013.” Approved by the Dartmoor Hunt anyway, as Ivybridge Equestrian has been welcoming the annual meet of the fox hunters for many years. The Hunt is also based in Ivybridge, which the hunt boasts allows “for superb access across the South East corner of the National Park.” While many of us know close the ‘horse community’ is to hunting and that UK ‘national parks’ are massively hunted and shot over, it is always galling to see it bragged about online. Ivybridge Equestrian compounded their support for historic animal abuse by proudly supporting the 2025 Boxing Day ‘parade’ of the Dartmoor Hunt, claiming ‘this is what real community looks like’ – absolute nonsense for millions of rural people who are resolutely opposed to hunting.
