“The Irish Draught Horse Society Ltd of Northern Ireland represents the interests of Irish Draught horse breeders, producers and enthusiasts located in Northern Ireland…We believe that the Irish Draught Breed is an integral and valuable part of the Irish Sport Horse industry.” Foxhunting (shamefully still legal across the whole of Ireland) needs people who want to kill foxes, hounds, and of course horses. The cross-connections are obvious, and a blatant ‘show’ of horses and the dogs used for decades to chase and kill foxes and hares, used in badger baiting and dig outs, must make perfect sense to hunting ‘enthusiasts’ while providing proof to the rest of us (were it needed) that the whole hunting industry is about animal abuse and setting animal species against each other.
