Five miles from Welshpool, the Hidden Valley Caravan Park (HVCP) is a “5 Star Holiday Home park in the heart of Mid Wales…With its combination of stunning scenery and spectacular views, Hidden Valley is the perfect location for your family holiday home.” And apparently for a hunt meet too! Shropshire Monitors reported that the South Shropshire Hunt met there in December 2024, hosted by site owner Phil Jones. The HVCP website says that “some of the original caravan owners are still there” and that “a warm welcome awaits new buyers at this Welsh Tourist Board Five Star Holiday Park.” How will they react to finding that the site is allowing hunt meets outside their front doors – especially one convicted under Section 1 of the Hunting Act in 2019, a hunt with one terrierman who used a quad bike to mow down a man in 2023, and another, David Conde, who pleaded guilty to interfering with a badger sett in December 2024.
