Becoming a vet requires years of dedicated training, and presumably a deep love for animals. It may come as a surprise to some, then, that there are vets who hunt and/or shoot. One such vet is Gavin Dalton-Morgan who has “worked extensively with small animals and equines since graduating from Murdoch University in Perth, Australia” and who (according to his profile on the Hatchmoor Vets website) “hunts with the Torrington Farmers Hunt [and] also officiates at several Point-to-Point races in the area” (point-to-points are essentially fundraisers for hunts). The Torrington Farmers Hunt regularly features in HIT reports from Devon County Hunt Sabs and their season’s hunting detailed in reports by Amateur Brain Surgery.
