A quick search of this site will reveal that almost every square inch of this part of Devon is either hunted or shor over (yes, we’re exaggerating, but only a bit…), and the Hartnoll makes sure it doesn’t miss out. The hotel is listed on a number of shooting websites as offering shooting facilities (in a glowing review back in 2015 Shooting UK said that “If like us you are at the Hartnoll Hotel for the shooting, every bedroom has a gun cabinet, and many are dog-friendly”, and under ‘Things to Do’ (disingenuously – in our opinion – listed under Clay Shooting) the hotel itself pastes some copy taken straight from M.J.R Sporting Agency who “are able to provide the finest sporting on some of the premier shoots in Exmoor to the discerning sportsman & sportswoman alike. We offer an elite services drawn on many years experience.”
