“Halston is a privately owned country house situated in fabulous secluded parkland and overlooking two lakes. The Grade 1 listed William and Mary house was once home to the renowned John ‘Mad Jack’ Mytton.” Formerly owned by a lunatic cosplaying as a ‘country gentleman’, today’s owners run simulated shooting days (something for bored or novice bird shooters to do out of season before they get to kill the real thing) and allowed the notorious Wynnstay Hunt to roam over the ‘secluded parkland’ in November 2025 (as recorded by the indefatigable Cheshire (Borderland) Monitors).
