The Greyhound Inn says it is “A free house in Pettistree, Suffolk with a short seasonal menu, thoughtful wine list and local cask beer.” It has won numerous awards for its food which is apparently “inspired by our rural surrounds” (uh, oh, red flag there), but locals that used to know the pub (according to supporters who emailed us about it) as a ‘lovely local’ say that its character has completely changed since new leaseholders took over. Judging by some extremely gruesome images on the pub’s Instagram account (not that dissimilar to the smirking grotesques that pose for trophy-hunting selfies), the new owners are very pro-shooting, or are at the very least willing to pick up and cook the corpses derived from local shoots. All in the name of ‘sustainable conservation’ natch…
