An undoubtedly talented photographer Georgina Preston is steeped in the mythology of ‘hunting’. Her website says she “Her understanding of rural life, combined with her distinctive style makes her a popular choice with publications such as Fieldsports Journal, Country Life and The Field” and she is “creating a photobook on hunting. The photobook, nearing completion, represents a comprehensive exploration of fox hunting, challenging prevailing narratives and offering viewers a profound and nuanced comprehension of the lives led by those devoted to hunting. It aims to bridge the gap between opposing viewpoints…”. Those prevailing narratives and opposing viewpoints would presumably centre around killing wildlife and the eulogising of a way of life that the vast majority of the public is opposed to? Her galleries are password-protected but clients include a who’s who of the hunting and shooting world.
