A series of podcasts on Apple (which we won’t be linking to) coming out of Wrexham and the heart of Wynnstay Hunt country. The host has lined up interviews with many of the characters we’ve referred to here on bloodbusiness (though we use far less supportive and unquestioning tones). September 2024’s offering was “two seasoned gamekeepers, Tom and Alex Painter, as we explore the world of high flying game”. Other episodes include the Wynnstay hosting Rhug Estate‘s gamekeeper “on the part shooting plays in rural Wales” and a ‘bonus’ episode on something called ‘Strictly Wynnstay’. Clearly aimed at the sort of people who think the Wynnstay Hunt is a harmless group of trail hunters and shooters are ‘interesting characters’, and quite clearly not aimed at people like us who think they’re not…
