The near-ubiquitous Fairfax & Favor “has grown into a multi-award-winning brand at the very forefront of British Luxury Fashion & Rural Vogue.” They sell beautifully designed clothes to “anyone with a passion for style and adventure”. That adventure largely appears to involve horses and ‘country sports’ (they have a store in Helmsley, North Yorkshire, for example, which is at the epicentre of shooting and hunting in the North York Moors National Park and are regulars at the Game Fair). Owners Marcus Fountaine and Felix Parker based their business in the Fountaine family home of Narford Hall, a registered shooting estate which launched in 2009 and has been written up on the website of shooting lobbyists GWCT. The Hall regularly hosts hunts from both Suffolk and Norfolk, and the West Norfolk Hunt Ball is scheduled to be hosted by Narford Hall and the Fountaines in 2024.
