“Set in 14 acres [sic] South West Scotland countryside the hotel is a family run friendly leisure destination with cosy rooms and food to match.” Cosy food? Intriguing…Still, the frequent typos (see the attached screenshot for example) and strange grammar usages aside Ernespie looks like a nice enough place, catering for families (with or without pets), hosting weddings, and offering a large banqueting hall. Why they then have to go and spoil everything by associating themselves with shooting birds out of the air is anyone’s guess. Shooting wildlife dead is not even front and centre as it often is on the websites of other venues we’ve listed, but it seems even hotels like the Ernespie feel ‘obliged’ to promote the slaughter of Scotland’s wildlife by visitors to the country (think we’re exaggerating, search ‘scotland shooting’ using our homepage. Every wildlife-loving Scot should be enraged frankly.)
