The Emlyn Hotel markets itself as a stylish and successful wedding venue, and it certainly looks the part. Given that most weddings don’t take place in March and revenue is harder to come by, the Hotel clearly felt that it could do business with the Vale of Clwttr Hunt, a fox pack based down the road in Pencader and whose Boxing Day meet in 2023 was at Porth Hotel in Llandysul. The Emlyn hosted a fundraising Hunt Ball in March 2023 for ‘an evening of fun’ which included a horn-blowing competition. The Hunt Ball was previously held at Newcastle Emlyn Rugby Club, which we are told hosted a New Years Day meet in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
