Situated in the Heart of Sedgefield the Dun Cow is the longest standing community pub with generations of customers.” Self-proclaimed ‘country pubs’ often seem to be alluding to either hunting or shooting (or both), and the Dun Cow doesn’t buck the trend. North East Hunt Monitors found the pub hosting the November 2024 opening meet of the South Durham Hunt, reporting on Facebook that “going off the hunts demeanour and the unhappy faces they possibly had a crappy day.” Let’s hope so…
