“Country Stitches Somerset is a fully British Handmade Farm & Country Children’s Clothing store.” Nothing to see here – but, hang on a moment, who is this getting all excited to be a Country Stitches Brand Ambassador? It’s Billie-Ann Cinnamond, who goes by the moniker ‘the huntsman’s wife’ (thus fully merging her identity with her husband’s ‘profession’). The Huntsman in question is Duncan Cinnamond of the notorious Seavington Hunt, a hunt filmed blatantly killing a fox in October 2024 before one of its riders scooped up the body and threw the poor animal unceremoniously into a nearby stream, and the same hunt from which on 8 May 2025 Huntsman Duncan Cinnamond plead guilty to illegal fox hunting. And indeed the same hunt suspended by the useless Masters of Foxhounds Association in 2022 when another Seavington Huntsman, Ben Hood, was filmed releasing a bagged fox to his hounds. Nothing unlawful in Country Stitches linking so closely with the Cinnamonds of course, but it does seem to speak volumes about what the business thinks of unlawful hunting. For the pro-wildlife folk reading this, other online children’s clothes retailers are available…
