“… a luxury Cotswold hotel with fine dining restaurant near Gloucester, and affordable!” Corse Lawn House looks splendid (it really does) and is close to numerous attractions. Scroll through the website and all looks very enticing until – what’s this? – under Christmas there is the paragraph ending sentence that “and on Boxing Day many guests go to Ledbury to the Boxing Day Meet.” That seems an odd thing to choose to highlight, but then The Corse Lawn seems quite partial to the Ledbury Hunt, hosting a ‘Grand National Dinner’ fundraiser for them. What could the link be? Possibly that Giles Hine, the son of the current owner, was a Director of the Ledbury until he resigned in 2005?
