Unforgettable horse riding dublin, wonderful horse trekking dublin experience.” Corballis Farm Horse Trekking and Therapeutic Riding Centre is – you guessed it – in Co.Dublin. In linked sections on the homepage it features Riding lessons, Therapeutic Lessons, Beach and Forest Treks etc.  One feature missing is fox hunting – surprising really as one of just two lead instructors is Henry Smith. He is described as being “involved with horses for over 60 years…He has hunted since the age of 8. Henry is following in his father and mother’s footsteps Lancelot & Stella Smith who were Master of Hounds for 40 odd years, with numerous packs. The Tara Harriers have been in the Briscoe family for 100 odd years…Henry is Master of the Tara Harriers for the past 30 years, and Huntsman for the last 12 years.” Fox hunting is still (shamefully) legal in Eire, so while Smith was reported to be ‘retiring’ from hunting in 2024 (though, according to the Irish Field “will still be involved with his beloved Tara Harriers”), he will have been liberally soaked in blood for decades. Not someone we would want around our own children…
