“Cirencester Park Polo Club was established in 1894 in the beautiful grounds of the Bathurst Estate and hosts polo matches of the highest caliber.” And hosts fundraising balls for notorious hunts of (depending on your point of view) very little caliber indeed. The CPPC is hosting the mockingly-monikered ‘Le Cirque de Chasse’ for the Vale of White Horse Hunt (VWH) in February 2026. The Hunt has been extremely coy about where their gathering is, but someone will always want to brag about their connections on social media, and – lo and behold – some attention-seeking singers gave the game away on Facebook…it’s hardly a surprise, ‘Cirencester’ has been bandied about for a long time, and numerous Earls of Bathurst have been heavily involved with the VWH – at one point the VWH was even known as Lord Bathurst’s Hunt.
