We haven’t listed village halls before as they are sometimes hired anonymously (so the hall secretary may not even know that a hunt was making the booking) and they’re not really the sort of ‘business’ anyone is likely to be making decisions about spending money at anyway, but the supporter who emailed us about this one says about meets at village halls in general that “on the day the car park is full of hounds, horses & people dressed up in their silly hunt costumes.” Cilgerran is where the Tivyside Hunt is kenneled (on the eastern end of the village) so it is very hard to believe that they are not well known to the Hall committee.
