Christopher Stares says he has “always had an interest in photography and the wildlife around us. I moved to Exmoor from Hampshire in 2004 and feel very fortunate to have all the beauty and expanse of Exmoor on my doorstep.” How does he relate to ‘wildlife’ and ‘beauty’? “My main interest is country sports, primarily following local packs whenever possible. I look forward to the start of the hunting season, when access to the open countryside is at its best and meeting people who are as passionate about hunting and their horses as I am!” He takes photos of the notorious Blackford and Sparkmore Vale Hunt, the Dulverton West, the Minehead Harriers, and the West Somerset Hunt. His website is a good source of meet venues which we will be exploring with interest…
