BH Sporting was set up by Nicholas Baikie, a former gamekeeper in the early 2000s at both Gunnerside and Leadhills. An acolyte of the shooting world’s most notorious Land Agent Mark Osborne, the pair fell out and Baikie set up a rival company in Perth. Amongst many other grouse moors, Baikie’s agency manages the Millden Estate where (former) gamekeeper Rhys Davies worked before being jailed for eight months and banned for owning dogs for 15 years after using dogs to fight badgers and foxes and where in 2019 NatureScot imposed a three-year General Licence restriction after three shot Buzzards were found in bags outside gamekeepers’ cottages.
