“The 11th Duke and Duchess of Rutland have lovingly curated a selection of holiday properties to suit the needs of every traveller…Close to home, in the Vale of Belvoir, are a couple of beautiful glamping and camping spots offering stunning views of Belvoir Castle… luxury country retreats and townhouse apartments are also available…There is even a mountain ski chalet in Switzerland…” Not content with merely owning huge chunks of England, David and Emma Manners (separated in 2012 they continue to live together each having their own living quarters in the 356 room Belvoir Castle) are also now in the holiday business, offering bespoke ‘glamping’ and stays at their own shooting lodges (Craxton Park and Moscar Lodge) to the sort of people who either don’t know about th Rutland’s sterile ‘grouse moor’ at Moscar Moor or the fox hunting pack based at Belvoir (home of the Belvoir Hunt aka the ‘Duke of Rutland’s Hounds’) – or simply don’t care. While ignorance in these internet-dominated times is a poor excuse, it’s far better than knowingly ploughing money into the pockets of these ‘noble people’ simply because wildlife abuse doesn’t matter to you…
